If the person comes looking for help - as in I have a problem and I'm not sure what to do - there are some possible tacks one might take. If they come and and say "This is my problem, fix it." then they are trying to shift the problem to you. In reality - there is nothing an outsider can do, I expect. Others may have better experiences and suggestions.
